Selected through a rigorous application process, the NanoLeap A Team consists
of 16 experienced teachers from California, Colorado, and Minnesota. The A
Team teachers assisted with the development and pilot testing of NanoLeap
into New Science, instructional modules that integrate real-world nanoscale
science and engineering research into high school chemistry and physical science
courses. Participation in the NanoLeap A Team was a two-year commitment
to working with the project. During the 2005-2006 school year, teachers assisted in the development of materials. Teachers then pilot tested the
materials and assisted with revisions during the 2006-2007 academic year.
